Day one / A soft landing
Keep the first afternoon close to your room. Unpack, walk through the gardens and find the shared spaces you will use most. A favourite spot can be a very good first discovery.
Leave dinner pleasantly simple and avoid giving arrival day too much to do. A quiet meal, a short walk and a good night’s rest can be exactly the right beginning.

Day two / A little time outside
Start with breakfast, then choose one outing rather than trying to fit in a whole destination. A beach, a neighbourhood or a waterside lunch gives the day a point of focus.
Return for a break when you feel like it. Leave the late afternoon open for another swim, a longer conversation or a chance to watch the light change.

Day three / Follow your curiosity
If you want a different setting, make this the day for it. Look around a nearby town, choose somewhere new for lunch or spend more time with a part of the destination you enjoyed.
Staying close is also a plan. A second quiet day can be a better choice than another long journey, particularly when the setting is already doing you good.

Keep a little space
Swap the order around your travel, energy and interests. A good short stay needs a few possibilities and enough freedom to leave some of them for another time.
Use the stay planner to keep the practical details together, then let the day itself provide the rest.
